Fact Check: Viral X Post Falsely Claims Shah Rukh Khan Backed CJP NEET Paper Leak Protest
A viral X post claiming Shah Rukh Khan supported the CJP protest against the NEET paper leak has been widely shared online. A verification of his official account, however, reveals a different reality behind the circulating claim.
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest against the NEET paper leak case continues to receive support from several Bollywood celebrities. While many prominent actors have publicly voiced their support for the protesting students, social media is now abuzz with claims that Shah Rukh Khan has also backed the movement. However, a viral post circulating on X under the actor's name has been found to be false.
The viral post, attributed to Shah Rukh Khan, reads: "Dear students, you have shown where the real strength lies—in books, in the pen, and in your voice. Your protest is not just against one examination, but for a better, transparent, and fair system. Every student deserves to be rewarded for hard work, not suffer because of any leak or scam. This fight is right, and it is necessary. The youth are our future."
The post further states: "You may be disappointed, you may be tired, but do not give up. Continue to raise your voice peacefully, keep fighting for your rights, but keep yourselves safe. The country's leaders, officials, and all of us should listen to the voices of students. Their demands should be taken seriously, and reforms should be introduced so that no other student has to suffer in the future. I am with all of you emotionally and morally."
However, a verification of the claim found that no such post related to the protest appears on Shah Rukh Khan's official X account. This confirms that the viral post is fake. The fabricated message has been widely shared on social media by some users and fans as if it were genuine, misleading people into believing that the actor had publicly supported the protest.
In reality, Shah Rukh Khan has remained silent on the CJP protest so far. While the actor has not made any public statement on the issue, the protest has already received support from Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt, Genelia Deshmukh, Huma Qureshi, and several other celebrities.
